Problem Statement

·The beginning of the paper clearly explains the general purpose of the research, and it relates the research to a real-

·This section should be interesting to read and entice the reader.

Literature Review

·This section should review relevant research on the topic.

·The literature needs to be an integrated discussion of research on the topic, not a one-by-one summary of all the articles you found.

·The literature should build towards your research question and hypothesis. In other words, research that is most relevant to your research question and hypothesis should be discussed. Research only tangentially related to your research question should not be included.

Research Question

·This should be clearly stated at the end of your literature review.

·Because the problem statement introduced the general research question and the literature review builds toward the research question, when you state your specific research question it should not surprise the reader.

Hypothesis

·Your hypothesis should be clearly stated.

·It should be supported by your literature review, so it should not be a surprise to the reader. In other words, your hypothesis is not just a guess of what you will find; it is an educated guess supported by research.

Methods

·Your proposed participants, materials, and procedures should be clearly described.

·Keep in mind that you will rewrite this section in Milestone Four once your data collection is complete.

Data Analysis Plan

·This section will not be included in your final paper, since you will ultimately explain what you actually did in your Results section.

Anticipated Results

·This section will ultimately be rewritten in Milestone Four once you have analyzed your data.

Overall

·Be sure to follow APA style. Use your style manual!

We are socialized at every stage in life to conform to our gender identity. Societal reinforcement of tendencies of gender identity is relentless. For example, in hospitals, little girls are wrapped in pink and little boys in blue. This difference in colors influences how we learn and how we internalize our role in our society.

Girls tend to grow up to play feminine roles and boys tend to grow up to play masculine roles. This differentiation of gender identity has implications in social stratification. The videos given below will provide you with a better understanding of the differentiation of sexual identity from an earlier generation.

Search for and watch an episode of at least one of the following shows. What is Cotard’s Syndrome?

Cotard’s Delusion (Also known as Cotard’s syndrome) is a rare mental illness in which the affected person holds the belief that he or she is already dead, does not exist, or has lost his or her blood or internal organs.

First interesting thing to note. analysis of 100 patients it was indicated that the denial of self-existence is a symptom present in 69% of the cases of the Syndrome. Yet, contradictory, 55% of the patients present delusions of immortality!

The delusion of negation is the prime symptom in Cotard’s Syndrome. the patient afflicted with this mental illness usually denies their existence, or in most cases the existence of a certain body part, or the existence of a portion of their body.

It exists in three stages. 1. Germination stage Which includes the symptoms of psychotic depression and hypochondria appear.

2. Blooming stage The full development of the syndrome and the delusions of negation.

3. Chronic stage Continued, severe delusions and chronic psychiatric depression.

This syndrome withdraws the afflicted person from other people. Which usually means neglecting their personal hygiene and physical well being. The delusion of negation of self prevents the patient from making sense of external reality. Producing a very distorted view of the external world.
