Strategic family therapy seeks to address specific problems in a family setting. The family is a crucial unit in society and it may sometimes require special attention. It is required that a family therapist should have extensive knowledge and understanding of the client’s family to be able to help. Family therapists are more like counselors who are trained and licensed to deal with family matters.
