Should athletes be allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs (such as steroids or EPO) or techniques (such as blood doping or oxygen tanks)?
Then, present a counterargument in standard form. The counterargument should be an argument for the position opposite of what you took on the first assignment. So, if your main argument – for example – was that social media enhances interpersonal relationships. The counterargument would argue that it hinders interpersonal relationships. After presenting your counterargument, support each premise of the counterargument and explain how the conclusion follows from the premises. This section is similar to what you did with your main argument in the last assignment. After completing this section, explain the primary points of disagreement between the two views (e.g. in the social media debate, they may disagree about the value of virtual communication – perhaps its good because people can keep in touch with family and friends, perhaps its bad because it interferes with our in person interactions, we're obsessed with what's on our phone instead of what's in front of us).
