Based on my experience, l also believe that motivation is really important in any project or organisation. If you have a motivated team on a board you are more likely to succeed.
As a first point, l have observed in work environment that different individuals take different career decisions for different reasons (improved renumeration, shorter work hours etc.). Hence there are different outcomes. So, l don't believe it is one size fits all. How do you plan to address the diversity of individual motivations in your research?
As a second point, you have stated that you will be examining "why there has to be levels of motivation in order to retain staff in financial shared services?". In my experience, motivation is a wider topic than one specific sector like finacial shared services. In your research, how do you plan to draw out the generalist findings versus specific ones related to this sector?
